Storyline

Neela's day is filled with three significant events: the arrival in the ER of a man who acts out his dreams, and this time jumped through a window thinking he was escaping a plane; the deterioration of a young girl who has been her patient for a while and with whom she has a special bond, and job interviews, set up by Lucien, who also tells her he wants her to stay at county. But which version of the day is the true one? The one in which both the dream runner and the girl die because decisions turn out to be wrong, the one in which both of them die even though the decisions were right (and in which Neela blows off an interview conducted by ex-ER doc Corday)? Or the one where both patients live and she is offered the job by Corday? Written by Ron Kerrigan <mvg@whidbey.com>

Quotes

[in voiceover]
Dr. Neela Rasgotra: The toughest thing about being a doctor isn't the terrible hours. It isn't the loneliness, the isolation, or the knowledge that one day, we lose out to the relentless decay of the human body. No, it's something else.
Dr. Neela Rasgotra: [later] The toughest thing is making the right call when it counts.

What a waste of a final season episode
14 August 2015 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Am I to assume that creative writing went out the window when Mr Crichton passed? Either way, this was an appallingly bad episode mainly because of the focus on one miserable character who has yet to elicit any empathy from me and as ER will be no more, it is never going to happen.

Having to grit my teeth to get to the good part, seeing an old character for the last time (maybe), was painful. I guess they have run out of main female characters with a worthwhile storyline and Sam's was used up in the last few episodes.

I am PRAYING that we are done with this sourpuss and County is given the send off it deserves...dammit! where's Romano when you need him?!!!
