Hodgins, Bones and author Thomas Vega are officially suspected of stealing FBI evidence concerning the Grave Digger, who once buried both team members alive. The team aborts Bones' award gala after the fiend sends a coded message: he has captured Booth and will asphyxiate him in a coffin within 24 hours unless the evidence is paid as ransom. Now Hodgins admits he has it, but convinces the others to try first 8 hours to identify the monster. Vega is found murdered in his car. Meanwhile Booth suffers a hallucination - he is with the ghost of corporal Edward 'Teddy' Parker, whom his best efforts couldn't save in combat. Teddy seems to help his efforts to escape from his 'coffin', an entire Navy ship loaded with explosives. The evidence is handed over, with disappointing result. Booths' brother Jarod risks everything to enable more illegal moves even after once special agent Payton Perotta has them all taken from the case. Written by
Did You Know?
On humans, the inferior nuchal lines are on the bottom back of the skull very close to where the spinal cord enters the skull (occiput nearest the foramen magnum). These ridges extend from the midline to both left and right, curving around the foramen. When Bones says the burn marks are normally equidistant to the inferior nuchal line but are now angled 4 cm. to the right, her terms are woefully imprecise because those lines curve around the skull. Describing the burn positions relative to the midline of a specific cervical vertebrae would be more precise but sound less impressive. See more
During the scene where LCDR Jared Booth is being taken into custody, the PO3's uniform has pin-on rank insignia where it should be sewn-on insignia of the same camouflage pattern as the uniform. Additionally, the 'U.S. NAVY" and name tapes on the uniform blouse are supposed to be the same camouflage pattern, not solid blue. See more
Listen to me Brennan. Somebody you love is buried alive! You're allowed to save them no matter how irrational.
Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan
I don't love Booth.
Yes you do. So do I. So do all of us. Just take my advice and hand over the evidence and get Booth.
