30 Rock Meets Fight Club!
10 December 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is the eighteenth episode of the third season of 30 Rock and it was yet another delightful episode. For once, we get to see how Liz can be while out of work and the cultural references are fun. The main spoof of this episode was 1999's Fight Club, with was a surprising spoof but nonetheless a delightful one.

In this episode, "Jackie Jormp-Jomp," Jack finds out that Jenna's Janis Joplin movie is in serious trouble and in order to find publicity for the film, Jack decides to make an obituary for Jenna. Meanwhile, Liz is struggling with boredom while on leave for sexual harassment. She makes some new friends and decides that life without work is better than she thought.

Overall, this is a good, funny episode. It's a slight increase from the previous episode. I really liked the subplot where Jack tries to make everyone believe that Jenna is dead. The episode features a great screenplay and some effective jokes. I rate this episode 9/10.
