There are a batch of these titles that we were fortunate to get an early look at, so I’ll make mention of that as we get to them and let you know if they get the official Icons Seal Of Approval. So, without further ado, let’s go through our most anticipated picks for 2013, in order of their release dates! »

Take a look at the first trailer for This Is The End, where all of Rogen and Baruchel’s friends play themselves, but beware! – this is a red band trailer, so consider it Nsfw.

Here’s the official synopsis:

'Aftershock' teaser: Introducing Eli Roth's violent post-earthquake tale

26 December 2012 7:19 AM, PST | EW - Inside Movies | See recent EW.com - Inside Movies news »

Ah, Chile — land of unspoiled natural beauty, perfect weather, and gorgeous locals wearing little but bathing suits. Nothing could ever go wrong here… right?

Well, unless you’re horror virtuoso Eli Roth, and you’re co-writing and starring in a new thriller set within its borders. In that case, Chile isn’t just the “indie station of Latin America,” whatever that means — it’s a place where a devastating earthquake is just a preamble to the violence committed by the quake’s victims. Call it a disaster movie meets Lord of the Flies, encapsulated by this line from the film »

23 December 2012 1:32 AM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

In what can be viewed as fantastic marketing, Columbia Pictures has chosen to release a teaser clip via Yahoo! Movies for Evan Goldberg (The Green Hornet) and Seth Rogen's (Knocked Up) This is the End on the day that some people actually believe will be the end of the world. Unsurprisingly, Columbia Pictures must still be planning for the future, bearing in mind the film is set for release on June 14th, 2013.

This is the End (a.k.a. The End of the World) features an all star stars line up of new school comedy stars such as Seth Rogen, James Franco (Pineapple Express), Jay Baruchel (Tropic Thunder), Craig Robinson (Hot Tub Time Machine), Danny McBride (Eastbound and Down) and Jonah Hill (21 Jump Street) and centres on six friends trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. This Is The End Red Band Trailer: Michael Cera Is Dead

21 December 2012 2:39 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

As I sit here in my “I Survived The 2012 Apocalypse” T-shirt laughing at the Mayan calendar (which some lazy dude probably stopped writing when he got far enough), Seth Rogen and James Franco have given me another reason to laugh at the apocalypse – a hilarious red-band trailer for their new end of the world themed film.

What started as a short film/trailer titled Jay And Seth Vs. The Apocalypse has now been blown up to a scale 20x grander, featuring all the celebrities pictured above – plus many more – facing the apocalypse supposedly after a party at James Franco’s house. Titled This Is The End, how can you not be excited for this horror comedy featuring some of the funniest people in the business right now?

Introducing the first official red-band trailer are Rogen and Franco, joking around in James’s bunker while preparing for the Mayan apocalypse that was supposed to happen today. »

This Is the End Red Band Trailer Brings the Mayan Apocalypse

21 December 2012 10:35 AM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

According to the Mayan calendar, the world is ending on December 21st, 2012. That's today! Seth Rogen and James Franco are particularly bummed about this, because their new comedy, This Is the End, doesn't come out until next summer. Ironically, the film is about the apocalypse. And you won't ever get to see it. Transmitting from James Franco's bunker, located somewhere in Hollywood, the two actors, who play themselves in this comedy, have decided to share the first, and most likely last, look at this R rated, star-studded doomsday tale with the Red Band Trailer. Watch as the Earth comes to its rousing conclusion, with just a few modest comedic actors left to carry on the legacy of mankind.

Seth Rogen and James Franco Introduce This is the End Red Band Clip

The first teaser poster and red band clip has finally arrived for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's new apocalyptic comedy 'This is the End' (formerly known as 'The End of the World'). Tieing into the ridiculous hysteria of the today's Mayan prediction of the end of the world Rogen and Franco have appeared in a funny promo introducing a new red band clip from the movie which looks simply awesome. It stars Rogen, Franco along with Jay Baruchel, Craig Robinson, Danny McBride and Jonah Hill who all play theirselves after surviving a destructive event in La. This marks one of two post-apocalyptic comedies hitting theatres next year the other being 'Shaun of the Dead' trio Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wrights' 'The World's End'. 2013 is gonna rock! Trailer Simon Brew Dec 21, 2012

Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill and more join together for an end of the world comedy, This Is The End...

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who have between them penned scripts to the likes of Green Hornet, Superbad and Pineapple Express, are putting the finishing touches to their directorial debut, This Is The End.

It's a fun premise for the film, with lots of famous people playing themselves. The movie is centred around a party at James Franco's house, attended by the likes of Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, Emma Watson, Jay Baruchel and Jason Segel (there's a Rihanna cameo in there too, apparently). However, mid-party, the impending apocalypse stares them all in the face, and by the sounds of this red-band trailer, fatalities ensue.

It could be really good fun this one. The film isn't due out until next summer (and was »

A Bunch of Hollywood Actors Got Together to Make a Movie and This is the Result

20 December 2012 7:48 PM, PST | Beyond Hollywood | See recent Beyond Hollywood news »

So Hollywood actors James Franco, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel and Danny McBride decided they wanted to make a movie together in which they star as themselves, but instead of just six guys goofing off in Los Angeles, they are instead trapped in a post-apocalyptic movie about the end of the world. That’s essentially the basis of “This is the End” (formerly “The End of the World”), which finds Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg directing. Check out the Red Band trailer below. The first minute is Rogen and Franco adlibbing gags. This is hilarious if you’re a fan of Rogen and Franco. If you happen to think they’re highly overrated, then it’s going to be like getting stabbed in the eyeballs. Repeatedly. For a minute. Six friends are trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. »
