The Evolution of Clint Eastwood (2008)

This 24 minute documentary can be found as a bonus feature on the SUDDEN IMPACT release and features interviews with Eastwood, John Milius, Hal Holbrook, Allen and Albert Hughes, Michael Madsen and several others. This documentary focuses in on Eastwood the director and we get a rundown as his directing style and how it has revolved over the years. Well, I should say this documentary really focuses on his directing years at Warner as it does look over a few titles but for the most part this here is an entertaining documentary that manages to give one a great understanding of Eastwood and how he has changed over the years. Eastwood talks about the various styles he has picked up over the years and we get to hear from the others who talk about his greatness including his work on THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, a film no one really expected him to do.
