The story is based on the upcoming crime novel of the same name by Ben Sanders, which centers on Marshall Grade (Bradley Cooper), a former NYPD cop who became a mob informant and now lives under the witness protection program in New Mexico. The story follows Marshall's involvement with a missing person's case. The book, which will be published by MacMillan in the fall of 2015, is said to be the first in a series of books. There is only a partial manuscript completed at this time, but it sparked the interest of Warner Brosl and another rival studio, along with several TV production companies.
Hollywood is a business of looking forward to the next thing and trying to predict what changes will come. It’s also not out of the ordinary for Oscar nominees to parlay that nomination/win into future work. After a years-long stint in development hell, award-winning director Cameron Crowe’s latest film is finally getting ready to reveal itself to the world.
The currently untitled project – which initially bore the moniker of Deep Tiki – is a Hawaii-set romantic comedy starring Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook) as a defense contractor sent to the “Aloha State” to oversee the launch of a weapons satellite. While there, Cooper’s character falls for a beautiful Air Force pilot played by Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man).

Excluding his docu-items, Cameron Crowe’s 8th feature — the currently untitled/formerly titled Deep Tiki has the sort of a-lister acting dream team that David O. Russell has become accustomed to. Managing to land cinematographer Eric Gauthier (Into the Wild), we’re curious if this will fall somewhere along the lines of We Bought a Zoo or (we’re doing some free association with The Descendants) might be the second Hawaii-based narrative in line for critical salutations.
Gist: A celebrated military contractor returns to the site of his greatest career triumphs and re-connects with a long-ago love while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog assigned to him.
Release Date: This adventure comedy might be Columbia Pictures’ dark horse Oscar »

A member of what’s referred to as the Berlin School of filmmakers, Hochhausler’s last project was part of the Beats Being Dead triptych, a trilogy of films each helmed by a different director (Christian Petzold and Dominik Graf were the other two). This is his fourth feature film, and though he hasn’t produced the same amount of output as several of his contemporaries, we’re curious about what this political thriller will look like.
Gist: Fabian Groys is a renowned journalist of a political news magazine. Together with Nadja, an allocated intern (Lilith Stangenberg), he researched an explosive story about the dubious disability policy of the Bundeswehr. When she breaks away from him because his informant dies, Groys’ attention turns toward a toxic waste scandal. »
