Amy Poehler and Tina Fey made history Thursday morning. The pals were nominated in the Guest Actress in a Comedy Emmy category for hosting “Saturday Night Live.”

That’s not unusual — “SNL” hosts are nominated for Emmys all the time. But here’s what’s unique: Poehler and Fey were nominated as a single, combined entity. Earlier this year, the TV Academy accepted their joint submission, and their names appeared together on nomination ballots.

That’s never happened in an acting category before because, well, a person is generally one person. The 68th Emmy Award Nominations

The Television Academy has announced the nominations for the 68th Emmy Awards at the newly-opened Saban Media Center. Television Academy Chairman and CEO Bruce Rosenblum joined Anthony Anderson and Lauren Graham at the nominations ceremony to announce this year's candidates.

The Emmys will be telecast live from The Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 18th with the broadcast hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Here's the list of the key nominees:

Disney Xd announced on Thursday that after 126 episodes, five hour-long specials and a TV-movie, the animated series will air its final episode, “Last Day of Summer,” on Friday, June 12 at 9/8c.

The series finale will cap a 73-hour every-Phineas and Ferb-ever marathon that kicks off Tuesday, June 9 at 8 pm.

‘Phineas & Ferb’ Creators Land New Animated Comedy on Disney Xd

The creators of Disney’s animated series “Phineas and Ferb” are bringing a new comedy to Disney Xd. Variety has learned “Mikey Murphy’s Law” has been greenlit for a 2017 premiere.

The upcoming series from Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh introduces Mikey, the fictional great-great-great-great grandson of the Murphy’s Law namesake.

Povenmire and Marsh will serve as exec producers on the new series. Joining the duo are “Phineas and Ferb” colleagues, producer and director Robert F. Hughes, story editor Scott Peterson and writers Joshua Pruett, Dani Vetere and Martin Olson.

Martin Scorsese Presents Masterpieces of Polish Cinema brings together 24 films chosen by Scorsese, including The Last Day of Summer and Camouflage [pictured].

Kinoteka Polish Film Festival, BFI Southbank and Filmhouse Edinburgh are collaborating on a national UK tour of Polish cinema.

Martin Scorsese Presents Masterpieces of Polish Cinema brings together 24 films chosen by Scorsese, all restored and digitally remastered to 2K resolution, as well as a series of contextual workshops, talks, exhibitions and special guests, all with the aim of exploring Polish film culture.

Scorsese commented: “These are films that have great emotional and visual power – they’re ‘serious’ films that, with their depth, stand up to repeated viewings. "Head Smash," "Christmas" Script Deals

Vlad Yudin and Edwin Mejia are set to produce a film version of the sci-fi thriller graphic novel "Head Smash" says Variety.

Erik Hendrix penned the comic which is set in the city of Ares and centers on an orphan named Smash who finds a safe haven with a brutal syndicate. Yudin ("Last Day of Summer ") will pen the film adaptation

Meanwhile, Disney Pictures has won a bidding war for a Christmas-themed action-comedy pitch from writer Scott says Heat Vision. The storyline is being kept under wraps, while John Jacobs is producing.

In a new interview with Cinema Blend, Nikki Reed ("Rosalie Hale" in the Twilight series) took time to explain some of the back story associated with how she came to be a part of Last Day Of Summer, her film with DJ Qualls which releases September 17th, and in the interview, Reed explained that she'd like to work with Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke again.

Reed and Hardwicke worked together to create Thirteen, and Reed also starred in Lords Of Dogtown by Hardwicke before becoming a part of Twilight.

Last Day Of Summer to get a limited theatrical release

E1 Entertainment has just announced their acquisition of the North American rights for writer and director Vlad Yudin’s first feature, Last Day Of Summer. The independently produced comedy/drama follows DJ Qualls and Nikki Reed on the very last day of summer. Qualls stars as Joe, an “agitated fast food employee, who has reached his breaking point after being harassed and tormented by his boss.” This last day of the summer season marks Joe’s first day of revenge, but Reed’s sexy Stefanie throws a wrench in Joe’s plans.
