It is not real..........
22 July 2008 | by See all my reviews

I can't rate this more than "3" because its not real. Its "based on" some "events" that have happened in the repo business at some time in the past. The show itself is scripted, it is staged. It makes you wonder if the producers are trying to make a "docudrama" or fake reality TV or a combination of both.

On the plus side, the episodes feature a lot of action (although its staged). I saw two separate segments that featured baseball-bat wielding actors plus one with staged "gunfire", all in ONE episode. Due to all this fast action and due to very lively repo agents, most viewers will find this show to be entertaining "cheap thrill" television. The fast action is also why my rating would be higher than "3" if not so staged and slick-looking.

The first scripted, re-created police-style show I ever saw was the old "Dragnet" series "from the Los Angeles Police files" way back in the 1960's, so this show is nothing new or ground-breaking.

This review covers the English language version broadcast on TRU TV only, I haven't had the opportunity to see the Spanish version, which I hope is more "raw" and less slick.
