Interesting doc even if you don't believe in Bigfoot
andrewtschroeder7 July 2020
This was a well made doc with lots of Bigfoot encounter stories by colorful locals. There isn't a lot of hard evidence presented, but the focus of the film is Evergreen, Alabama and how being recognized for so many Bigfoot sightings have helped revive it, which makes this an interesting watch whether you believe in Bigfoot or not.

worth a watch...even if you don't believe

I am from Washington State so a little sensitive about Bigfoot stories that are not centered in the Pacific Northwest. Having said that, I enjoyed another film by Jason Horton, who does a nice job with interviews of colorful and interesting characters. I rate this a good watch.

Crazy good fun

You don't have believe in Bigfoot to believe in this doc and the otherwise perfectly "normal" citizens of tiny town Evergreen, Alabama. Fans of coast-to-coast radio will love this well-directed spotlight on just one of the many crazy things that make America so special. Highly recommended.

The town that loved Bigfoot is about a small town that spirit is awakened and uplifted as they become the Bigfoot capital of Alabama. There are many interesting characters telling their stories about encounters with Bigfoot. You be the judge.

Better, smarter and a whole lot more fun than I expected

I love an informative and entertaining documentary ... even if it's about Bigfoot.

Especially if it's about Bigfoot.

The Legend Of Boggy Creek fans, prepare to be captivated! We get facts and lore, some history and stories from people I'd all like to sit next to at the next BBQ.

Who knew how badly you'll want to go to Evergreen, Alabama on your next vacation week? A delightful little town, full of credible people telling plausible stories they swear are factual about their encounters with the sasquatch. They don't call the town, "Bigfoot Capital of Alabama" (per an official resolution from the state senate of Alabama!) for nothing.

It's shot well, edited nicely, scored with music perfectly suited for this film and full of fun.

Watch this documentary about Bigfoot. You'll learn some things you don't really NEED to know, but you'll enjoy the education.

If they ever scrap the "Collard Green Festival" and change it to a Bigfoot carnival, I will see you there!

Who knew

I had no idea Bigfoot was a thing anywhere outside the northwest. Interesting small town fascination with it. Too bad there are people that actually 'hunt' Bigfoot. That was disturbing. Other than that, a good doc exploring the phenomenon.

Entertaining and thought-provoking
JCanni6816 July 2020
Prepare to be educated and entertained by this well-produced doc that is equally as fun as it is insightful and thought-provoking. It serves as somewhat of a spiritual successor to the film Don't Call Me Bigfoot, which delves deeper into the history and mythology of the bigfoot. But this doc focuses on a particular Alabama town's fascination and experience with the beloved creature, with plenty of anecdotal evidence that is fascinating and compelling, and will have you believing in the possibility of bigfoot.

A fun and sincere documentary
A fun documentary filled with a ton of funny, sincere and down to earth characters. The people are almost as interesting as the stories they tell... and do they tell em. If you don't yet believe in Sasquatch by the end of this film you still may not, but you'll definitely want to. Give it a watch.

Evergreen Alabama will never be forgotten
jimlewisjr6 July 2020
You can not help but like the people of Evergreen, Alabama which you will learn is the Big Foot Capitol of the world. The film maker tells their story well and you want to believe each and everyone of them and their personal stories about Big Foot. Not to make a bad pun, but the movie ends on weird note with the can't be missed Big Foot calling contest. So make sure to watch it to the end.

An interesting film
lbruhnca7 August 2020
I never really thought about Bigfoot, I live in a city, who what it/he is and if he's real or not. A friend recommended this documentary so I figured what the heck, I'll check it out. It got me thinking and drew me into much more than just is Bigfoot real or not but WHO is Bigfoot. An entertaining film to open your horizons.

Bigfoot invades Alabama
ECreviews1 August 2020
This quirky doc continues the legend of bigfoot, this time centering around little known Evergreen, Alabama. Evergreen has the unique distinction of being the bigfoot capital of Alabama and its cast of characters prove it. True to the title, the town loves bigfoot, even including bigfoot calling contests into their town fair. Lots of fun bigfoot related anecdotes and interesting facts about the town. Truly an enjoyable film for a bigfoot purist.

Surprisingly sweet!
sallproductionspdx26 August 2020
I expected an investigation into the Bigfoot mythology-which was fine-but was pleasantly surprised to find a sweet profile of a seemingly lovely and enterprising town. Made me smile, intrigued me, and above all made me want to visit!

Colorful cast of characters and voices that keep the legend alive!
tucia29 September 2020
As someone who is very familiar with everything Bigfoot, I found this documentary to be very refreshing because of how it captured the unique characters in Alabama who celebrate and pontificate about the sightings, the stories, and the always-mysterious legend. The interviews were well executed, the eclectic cast of experts and locals were fun to watch, and overall this was a very unique way to keep the legend alive, bravo!
