Tim Roth: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

Warner Bros.

It’s easy to forget about Tim Roth until he suddenly pops up in something and reminds you as to how immensely talented he actually is. Still perhaps best known today for his work with Quentin Tarantino on both the still insanely popular films Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction (in which he played two very important roles, no less), Roth also came to mainstream attention whilst appearing on the now-cancelled TV show Lie To Me.

As one of Britain’s most acclaimed acting talents, the beauty of Tim Roth stems from the fact that you can put him just about anywhere and he’ll thrive: in a secondary role or as a leading man, he’s perfectly capable in equal measure; indeed, Roth has proven time and time again that he can’t be pigeon-holed. You’re just as likely to find him in a massive blockbuster as you are an indie gem. »

News of the "Almost Human" cancellation first broke on Tuesday (April 29) evening on Deadline.com and HitFix can now confirm that the J.J. Abrams-produced drama will not be back next season, a victim either of lackluster ratings or of Fox's already-aggressive plans for next season. Fox got "Almost Human" off to a bumpy start when it delayed its early November premiere just two weeks before launch, though a special Sunday airing helped get a sampling of 9 million-plus viewers. Despite occasional preemptions and an erratic air schedule in December and January, "Almost Human" averaged a very respectable 6.2 million viewers and a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 for its season, along with a solid DVR bump. Although the "Almost Human" numbers were flagging a little toward the end, it still did a 1.5 key demo rating for its finale in March, identical »

Jason Dohring on Stepping Back Into The Role of Bad Boy Logan Echolls For The 'Veronica Mars' Movie

Jason Dohring hasn't been resting on his laurels since "Veronica Mars" departed The CW's schedule in 2007, but that doesn't mean he wasn't excited about the opportunity to reprise the role of Logan Echolls, Neptune, CA's resident bad boy, when series creator Rob Thomas used the power of Kickstarter to make a "Veronica Mars" movie. Dohring started his TV career in the mid-1990s, making one-off appearances on a wide variety of series, including "Baywatch," "Picket Fences," "Roswell," "The Parkers," and "Jag," but it was "Veronica Mars" which gave him as his first series-regular role. After the show wrapped its three-season run, Dohring jumped right back into work, serving as a cast member in CBS's short-lived vampire drama "Moonlight," pulled a recurring role on The CW's "Ringer," and popped up as a guest star on -- among other series -- "CSI," "Lie to Me," and "Supernatural."
