The film follows the story of the daydreaming hero Eric Anderson. Being the new kid in school isn't the easiest time for anyone, especially when you have a crush on the most popular girl in school. Watch as Eric, through a series of daydreams, learns to overcome his fears and stand up to his bully (and maybe even get the girl). Written by
The actor who played Eric in this film about high school was 23 when the film was made! However, he didn't look all that old to be playing the part so it managed to work. This is the story of a high school senior who is new to the school and thinks the year will stink. As a result, he tends to retreat to his fantasy world where he can imagine being the tough hero and getting the girl. In many ways, this short film reminds me of the Ralph Phillips from the adorable Looney Toons cartoons FROM A TO Z-Z-Z-Z as well as BOYHOOD DAZE. These two cartoons were about an elementary schooler who dreamed his life away just like Eric.
Some things I liked about the film were the funny wannabe character of the White kid who was "Blacker" than the Black kids as well as the sight of high school jerks getting what's coming to them. Considering the inexperience of the film makers, they should be proud of the results.
