Luke Owen looks at Monday Night War on the WWE Network…

One of the first shows announced when the WWE Network was first revealed, The Monday Night War is a look back at the ratings battle between WWE (then WWF) and their rivals World Championship Wrestling as they competed for fans to tune into their shows during the late 90s. The first problem with the show comes to the forefront when those who have seen The Monday Night Wars DVD that WWE released back in 2004 and the Rise and Fall of WCW DVD they put out in five years later start to feel a level of familiarity. Not just in the same stories being told (the fall of Crockett Promotions, bringing Hulk Hogan into WCW etc), but they »

WWE.com

This past Monday saw Chris Jericho make a surprise return to WWE. The news was out on the internet about two hours before the show, but for the most part it was kept a secret. During his Talk Is Jericho podcast released on Wednesday, he spoke about how his return was set up.

Jericho talked about how he always keeps in touch with WWE via text and email about a possible return. He has mentioned that on his radio show for months because he’s obviously a guy that is on great terms with them. He mentioned that a WrestleMania 30 return didn’t work. His ideas involved Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt, but obviously WWE went in other directions with both guys by having Bryan wrestle Hhh, then Orton/Batista and Wyatt taking on Cena.

He revealed that even though the WrestleMania 30 return didn’t work out, he »

Exclusive Clip from 8 Minutes Idle with Tom Hughes, Ophelia Lovibond & Antonia Thomas

14 February 2014 3:00 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Arriving in cinemas and on demand today, Mark Simon Hewis’ 8 Minutes Idle promises to be a charming comedy perfectly timed for the Valentine’s festivities over the weekend, with an element of office romance thrown in for good measure.

Following the rather brilliant first trailer we saw last month, we’ve now got an exclusive new clip from the film to share in tandem with its release, teasing a little of the comedy we can expect. Antonia Thomas’ retorts, in particular, are just genius.

8 Minutes Idle is a contemporary comedy adapted from the award‐winning novel by Bristol author Matt Thorne. This is the story of Dan, early 20s, who gets kicked out of his home by his mother and not knowing who to turn to ends up packing up his most prized possessions and his cat and moves into his office, a Call Centre.
