A medieval adventure packs noisy action, thrills, sword-cross and gorgeous outdoors.

It is strange that the most important comic book story of Spain, with permission of "Mortadelo Y Filemón", took so long to transfer the role. But it is here. The script had the approval of his creator, Victor Mora, which is already an incentive to film; there is the feeling that the project deserves more.

Antonio Hernández film has many good things: a very good photography, a magnificent and successful costume, an excellent soundtrack and, most importantly, maintains the spirit of comic books (or comics) .. The script sometimes weakens, but It is not the worst. Really are the actors who are not at the height of the Spanish overproduction. They shrinking the film end. Sergio Peris Mencheta is a success in "Capitán Trueno" physically, but not in the character maximum. Natasha Yarovenko not seems to have understood very well the character of "Sigrid". This character was Elsa Pataky (resigned to film "Fast and the Furious 5"); Manuel Martinez athlete is not an actor, but the character of "Goliath" it is perfect, and as nice as him. The other side, except Alejandro Jornet and Roberto Alvarez, are more harm than good.

Colorful and evocative cinematography filmed on location in Calzada De Calatrava, Ciudad Real, Lagunas De Ruidera, Ciudad Real, Castilla-La Mancha, Buñol, Yátova, Xeraco ,Valencia, Chulilla and Ciudad De la Luz, Alicante, Comunidad Valenciana.

The film is intermittent, sandwiched good and bad passages and scenes that make slow other very agile. The latter often coincide with nods to the original comic, which abound, but several licenses are taken. It is logical and necessary to shoot bullets, although there is nothing that is not right, too much magic and sorcery, when it barely existed as such in the comics. Always they were unmasked and proved scientific tricks or gimmicks. In fact, the character "Morgano" was not a magician, but someone like Leonardo Da Vinci. For it is noteworthy that the first 20 minutes of the film are fabulous, with thrilling action scenes.
