Dr Bullard : It's the manner of his death. I've heard of it and never seen it. Parasympathetic rebound. It happens when someone is so terrified that the whole metabolic system reacts and tries to calm itself down. The problem is, it can make too good a job of it and the heart simply stops beating. DCI Tom Barnaby : [to Jones as he views corpse] Whoever it was couldn't look her in the face when he pulled the trigger.
DS Ben Jones : I heard you call for help.
