Storyline

Having been kidnapped by a crazed Tuco, Walt and Jesse are held prisoner by him in a desert shack where he often hides out and takes care of his sick uncle. Walt's brother-in-law Hank and the DEA have rolled Tuco's entire organization and he thinks that his two prisoners may have been a source of information. Walt tries to feed Tuco the poison he prepared. Walter Jr. meanwhile takes a bit of time off to look for Walt. Skyler is sick with worry and has been distributing handbills with Walt's photo. He remembers that Jesse Pinkman was Walt's source of marijuana and tries to track him down. Tuco finally realizes that his prisoners are up to something and is obviously going to kill Jesse. After a fight in which Tuco is shot, Hank shows up looking for Jesse. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

The character of Tuco Salamanca was originally going to be much bigger, and become Walt's nemesis for much of season 2. Unfortunately, there was a scheduling conflict with the actor Raymond Cruz appearing in TNT's The Closer (2005). So the character was written out. Cruz later admitted he wasn't sorry for this, since Tuco was such an intense and draining character to play. He did, however, agree to return as Tuco in the prequel series Better Call Saul (2015). Tuco Salamanca: TELL ME WHAT YOU DID!
Walter White: We tried to poison you. We tried to poison you because you are an insane, degenerate piece of filth and you deserve to die.

Fantastic Episode!
5 May 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The second episode in the second season of Breaking Bad is fantastic and I'm loving how the show keeps living up to it's hype. This episode expands on the cliffhanger the first episode gave us, and now the season begins to set it's wheels in motion. The acting couldn't have been better and I loved the dialogue between Cranston, Paul, and Cruz while they were sitting around at Tuco uncle's house.

In this episode, "Grilled," Walt and Jesse have been kidnapped by Tuco and they are hiding out at his uncle's house. Meanwhile, a worried Skylar begins handing out posters of the missing Walt and Hank begins to look for his brother-in-law.

Overall, such a fantastic episode, especially the final fifteen minutes when there are lots of guns ablazing. It's no aberration when I say Breaking Bad is the greatest TV series of all time, especially after watching this very tense episode. I rate this episode 10/10.
