Actor Kenneth Cope wrote this episode, he was better known as the ghost in Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased).
Peter's workplace is having a raucous works party, everyone is drunk and some of the women are flirty. Peter just wants to get home to Sheila.
Instead he has to drive his boss home who is much worse for wear and when his wife refuses to have him in the house, Peter brings him to his home and puts him in the spare bed. The trouble is Sheila in a fit of pique moved to the spare bed and is none too pleased that Peter's boss has laid down next to her. She wants a divorce and Peter has to go and see his solicitor.
Something about the premise of the episode just did not work. The party scenes were unrealistic, Peter's workplace looks like a miserable place to be employed in. Sheila suddenly moving bedrooms in order for the central storyline to work and then not seeing the funny side of the mix up was a little out of character.
At least you get to see Sheila's miserable family and Peter's drinking buddies.
