As always, even when she says nothing at all, Streep has the perfect thing to say!
Meanwhile, the milestone only further solidifies the three-time Academy Award winner's hold on most Oscar nominations. The celebrated actress far and away leads the pack, ahead of her closest rival, the late Katharine Hepburn, who has 12.
Thankfully, all that recognition hasn't hurt Streep's abilities as a communicator.

Meryl Streep may reign over the Oscars, but her real kingdom is the Golden Globes.
Her nomination for Florence Foster Jenkins this year -- as Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical -- marks her 30th in 38 years. She will also receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award, the first person to get that honor in the same year as a nomination in over two decades. (Sophia Loren managed it in 1995.)

Late Thursday night, her ex-husband, Nick Cannon, posted a sweet group shot with Mimi, their twins Roe and Rocco, and his mom, Beth Gardner.

Ryan Seacrest is finally expressing his feelings about Mariah Carey's debacle during her Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve performance. Discussing the topic during On Air With Ryan Seacrest Thursday morning, the show's host remained fairly neutral. "It is difficult to perform in Times Square. I mean, she had done it before because she was the first musical guest that we had had live when I started doing the show a decade ago," he said. On Thursday's On Air with Ryan Seacrest on 102.7 Kiis-fm, the TV personality commented on Carey’s live TV showcase that was plagued by technical difficulties. Carey's manager, Stella Bulochnikov, told Et that the Grammy winner was "set up to fail" during her performance, but Seacrest insists this when it comes to live television, "things happen."
