When 5 students suddenly go missing, its up to Melanie and her web-posts to track down the kidnapper before they run out of time.
Five friends are trapped alive in coffins with a series of different articles & materials surrounding them, while trying to figure out why they are there, what they have done to be there & what this all means, they discover that the things their buried with are all connected in one way or the other to someone they've known all their life & whomever is doing this is watching them from camera's placed in the coffins & when a brother & sister who go looking for them (with the brother video taping the events) they find themselves in a position of who their going to save & who they're going to let die. Supposedly based on a popular internet series, BURIED ALIVE which by now has to be the 374837543874 horror movie to use that title is an interesting, though at the same time, not very good suspense thriller. While mercifully brief (Just 65 minutes!), the film is burdened by it's cheap look & non existent direction. The actors fare well though & the film has many neat plot twists involved, however it overall makes the viewer feel like their watching a bunch of failed unfinished home movies edited together in order to make a short horror movie, that fails to scare us or do much else. Not the worst film I've ever seen, but at the same time I don't recommend this movie, it's far to cheaply made, even on home movie standards. With a box art that makes one think this is a decent budgeted B movie. Best to seek your thrills elsewhere & leave this one um...buried at your video store.
