"Why can't you admit that you actually like it here? And that no-one else would want to put up with you?"

As expected, Nicole has quickly turned into more of a fragile and vulnerable individual, with a secret past, although her superior attitude towards Aden stops her from winning over our sympathies too much. The fact that she's too embarrassed to go to school suggests that her self-confidence is something of a facade but the writers seem to have written themselves into a corner, since the only way she can stay around is for Roman to back down, which is a shame given the responsible attitude he shows here.

Meanwhile, the fight club storyline limps towards its conclusion with most of the participants either hiding out at Jack's place or missing entirely.Noel almost manages to convince us he's a serious threat, effectively holding Viv prisoner, but we're still more worried about the hulking brute that he seems to have no hold over. The plot device that sees Ric stranded is contrived in the extreme and the fact that Tony implies there's a Plan B actually manages to dissolve the tension, meaning that instead of leaving us on a cliffhanger the episode just...stops.
