Queen Bee and the Cheater!
16 July 2008 | by (Greensboro, NC) – See all my reviews

This is a cute episode. Instead of Jon & Kate narrating most of the episode, it is Cara & Mady's turn. They are the 7 yr. old twins. They talk about the different family games that they play together like "duck, duck, goose", school, and hide and seek. It's great to see Cara actually get some camera time and get to talk. She is often overshadowed by Mady.

First, the twins teach the sextuplets how to play school. They set up little stools like desks. They color and get stickers for their work. It gets a little chaotic as the little kids fuss and start to fight. Jon tells them its time for recess and takes them all outside to play. Kate goes too, but instead of playing, she starts to try to clean the garage and barks orders at Jon. Jon tells her he is trying to spend time with the kids and isn't going to rearrange the garage. He decides to take the twins "scootering" while he roller-blades in the neighborhood. Kate keeps yelling at him that he is leaving the girls behind and says to the camera "Man he makes me mad!" Mady at one point describes her mom as: "she just sat in the chair and gave orders. She's a Queen Bee - except daddy doesn't do what she says!" Out of the mouth of babes! At the end of the play time as Kate is storming off to go inside, Jon yells "you don't play with your kids". Kate barks that it's because "I'm busy doing YOUR work!"

Later they play duck, duck, goose. They all seem to have fun - even Kate. Jon says its interesting to see who actually understands the rules of the game, and who the kids seem to pick as their favorites.

Next, its some hide and seek. First the kids and Kate hide and Jon has to find them. Then everyone hides while the twins have to seek. No one can find Jon, but it's because he broke the rules and hid in a closet - which was supposed to be off limits. CHEATER!

This was a fun episode to watch. It's cute to see the kids at play. You also get a view of the frequent sniping Jon and Kate.
