Laurie Pike introduces the first episode in a series where viewers can chat live to one of five public figures. Mary Whitehouse takes heated calls, while also on the phones are Judge Pickles, Loleatta Holloway, Prince Be and a Thunderbird.
Boy George talks about spirituality, while Barbara Windsor answers some lewd calls and Val Lehman says she wouldn't appear in "Neighbours" to save her life. Also in the booths are surrogate mother Kim Cotton and unionist Arthur Scargill.
Margaret Thatcher answers calls, though looks strangely like Steve Nallon, while Dreamboy Carl Robinson receives propositions from viewers. Also in the phone booths are Roger Scruton, Sara Parkin and David Sullivan.
Child prodigy James Harries gets told by callers that he's being "obnoxious", though having a better time is RuPaul, urging viewers to "touch themselves". Also on the phones are Lindi St. Clair, Patrick Robinson and Graham Wylie.
Featuring the much-publicised appearance in the UK of Reverend Al Sharpton, the controversial avant garde artist Andres Serrano, Sky magazine's Karen Krizanovich, the outspoken Mrs. Mouth, and Victor Kiam's son, also called Victor Kiam.
Laurie Pike seems flustered in a hectic final episode, exclaiming "Now I know what our poor callers go through." Joining her for the final edition are guests including Joey Ramone, Lily Savage and viewer Tracey Stamp.
