Goofs

Just before the presentation of "Best Supporting Actress" the curtain that was supposed to open to reveal the presentation screens don't open. You can then hear a stagehand from backstage yell, "We're doing it. Steve open it!" (his voice was probably picked up through Hugh Jackman's lapel mic.) See more »

Quotes

Himself - Winner: Best Cinematography: I found that very inspiring, Natalie and Ben. If I could use as few words on a set on a film like "Slumdog" and get away with it, I wish I could. I wish I could. It's fantastic. I could thank thousands of people. I can't do it. I have to, of course, thank the Academy. I'm very honored with this beautiful thing. Everybody who has worked with me on this film - all over this room, especially over in this little corner here, in the blue corner. And all the people that worked on all the films I've ...

Loved It!
23 February 2009 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This year's Academy Awards ceremony was way better than last year's. Hugh Jackman did a tremendous job hosting, I thoroughly enjoyed Beyonce's and A R Rahman's performances, and Hugh Jackman's tribute to the movies.

The Pineapple Express short was also hilarious. The atmosphere was just dazzling, the stars were beautiful and the results were, for the most part, as expected, (although I was indeed rooting for Mickey Rourke.) Everything about it was unforgettable.

Kudos to directors producers and to everyone else involved in the making of this amazing awards show!
