Winner of the Gotham Jury Award for Ensemble Performance, ‘Mudbound’ Has the Best Ensemble of the Year
Set in rural Mississippi during World War II, “Mudbound” focuses on two families—one white (the McAllans), and one black (the Jacksons)—who navigate life on a small farm and realize that not all battles ended with the war. Based on Hillary Jordan’s 2008 best-selling novel of the same name, the film, co-written by Virgil Williams and Dee Rees, progresses through different characters’ perspectives, giving the audience a chance to experience an intimate story about race, friendship, power and love. The film is anchored by a cast that includes Academy Award nominee Carey Mulligan and music legend Mary J. Blige like you’ve never seen her before. The stellar ensemble also features Jason Clarke, Jason Mitchell, Rob Morgan, Jonathan Banks and Garrett Hedlund.

Blige, a nine-time Grammy Award-winning R&B singer, disappears into her role as Florence, the matriarch of the Jackson family, who is fighting to ensure a safe future for her children.

Meryl Streep, Jessica Chastain and More Stars React to Harvey Weinstein Sexual Harassment Allegations
Meryl Streep is one of the latest celebrities to speak out in support of those women who came forward alleging that they were sexually harassed by Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

"The disgraceful news about Harvey Weinstein has appalled those of us whose work he championed, and those whose good and worthy causes he supported," Streep says in a statement given to The Huffington Post. "The intrepid women who raised their voices to expose this abuse are our heroes."

While Streep worked with Weinstein and The Weinstein Company for years over the course of her film career -- including in movies The Iron Lady and August: Osage County -- she insists that she was unaware of these allegations until the recent New York Times expose that was published last week.

Jessica Chastain on Harvey Weinstein Accusations: ‘I Was Warned From the Beginning’
Jessica Chastain has weighed in on the explosive Harvey Weinstein scandal, saying she has been well aware throughout her career of the ex-mogul’s reputation for sexually harassing women.

“I was warned from the beginning,” she said Monday on Twitter. “The stories were everywhere. To deny that is to create an environment for it to happen again.”

Gary Oldman Looking Like Oscar Contender for “Darkest Hour”

We seem to be getting a good taste of Sir Winston Churchill lately with an abundance of movies and even a TV show that depicts the character. But we believe we’ve yet to see the best portrayal out of them all. Coming from a slew of supporting roles, albeit in great films such as Lawless, The Dark Knight Rises, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and most especially Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, Gary Oldman is ready to be the star once more. And that he does ever so brightly portraying one of the most profound characters in all of

‘Black Mirror’ Season 4 Reveals Trailer, Episode Information

‘Black Mirror‘ is a show that I absolutely love. In what is the closest thing to a modern day ‘Twilight Zone‘, creator/show runner Charlie Booker‘s hypnotic series has managed to captivate audiences in it’s first three seasons. The show – which was originally aired on BBC – was expanded to a six episode format after Netflix picked up the show for it’s third, and now fourth season, and is highly anticipated to say the least.

Season 3 was backed by some incredible talent, and based on the trailer for season 4, this trend seems to be continuing. In particular, this upcoming season provides a hefty dose of talent in the director’s chair that includes: Jodie Foster, John Hillcoat (The Road, Lawless), David Slade (Hannibal), Colm McCarthy(Peaky Blinders) and Toby Haynes (Dr Who), Tim Van Patten(The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire).

Get Out's Jason Blum: 'Australia has exported some of the great genre film-makers of our time'

His production house has become one of Hollywood’s biggest success stories – but Jason Blum predicts the future of genre film-making is in Australia

Australia has produced some of the best genre film-makers in the world, says Jason Blum. And he would know, given the company he founded back in 2000 has been responsible for some of the biggest genre successes of the past 15 years.

Blumhouse Productions had one of the most significant commercial and critical hits of the year so far with Jordan Peele’s directorial debut Get Out – a film Blum nurtured through development, and produced. In the horror sphere, it’s estimated his projects have earned over $5bn at the international box office with franchises such as Paranormal Activity, Insidious and The Purge – a figure that doesn’t factor in lucrative home entertainment profits, a slow but consistent earner for genre films. And that’s to say nothing

Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets – Review

Dane DeHaan stars in Luc Besson’s Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets.

Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets is writer/director Luc Besson’s latest sci-fi action/adventure film, starring Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne as a team of special agents wisecracking and flirting their way through danger as they race to unravel the puzzle of what or who is threatening to destroy the interstellar city of Alpha. The film also stars Clive Owen, Ethan Hawk and singer Rihanna.

Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets is spectacular visually, with one fabulous, colorful, fantastical vision after another, and the film completely delivers on that level.

The 3D action/adventure film is based on a French sci-fi graphic novel series, “Valerian and Laureline,” or just “Valerian.” The long-running comic series,

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Beacon Theatre, NYC June 15, 2017

Much is being written that Nick Cave's current tour of Skeleton Tree may be his best yet. Seeing Mr. Cave and The Bad Seeds' performance last night at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, I would agree. Playing every song from that album except "Rings of Saturn" plus another eleven classic songs (set list here) from his catalog, it was a show that will be difficult to rival by any touring act this year or quite possibly until Mr. Cave decides to tour again. Quite remarkable given that he's a few months shy of his 60th year on Earth.

Channeling both rage and ragged beauty, he is singer of staggering charisma. Plunging himself into the open arms of adoring fans almost from the start, his rich, booming baritone never missed a note in any of songs, even those

Tom Hardy Mourns the Loss of His Dog in Heartbreaking Tribute
Tom Hardy wrote a heartfelt tribute to his dog and late "best Friend" Woodstock, which was sent to his fan site TomHardyDotOrg. Hardy has a long, very public love affair with dogs and for anyone that has ever lost a pet, you know exactly what the actor is going through. Woodstock was Hardy's constant companion over the past 6 years, going practically everywhere that Hardy would go, including movie sets as well as premiers and he even helped Hardy get over the death of his dog Max.

I highly recommend reading Hardy's entire lengthy letter on TomHardyDotOrg, it's essential reading for anybody that has ever loved and lost a pet. Hardy's tribute to Woodstock starts with where their relationship began. The actor recounts the story of driving late at night in Peachtree, Atlanta while filming The Dark Knight Rises. He and Lawless co-star Jessica Chastain were driving and noticed something that
