Storyline

After wealthy philanthropist Piers Pomfrey has expressed an unusual interest in a ring found by her niece Annabelle, Miss Fritton explains that she is descended from a pirate who, in 1598, stole treasure from another pirate: Pomfrey's ancestor. The location of the treasure is to be found when the ring and its double are put together. Felonious ex-pupil Kelly and Miss Fritton's former lover Geoffrey are brought in to help the school steal the second ring from the evil Pomfrey's misogynistic secret society, leading to a showdown at the Globe Theater, and an amazing revelation as to the identity of pirate Captain Fritton, as well as that of William Shakespeare. Goofs

When the girls are overlooking the river from outside the Globe theatre, watching Lord Pomfrey escaping in his launch, Juno Temple's character licks her finger and holds it up (in order to determine wind speed/direction) but when they steal Drakes ship and it's cruising down the river, none of the sails are unfurled, and the ship is moving using it's engine(s). Quotes

Sir Piers Pomfrey: [Geoffrey is in the AD1 meeting, drinking the communion wine, but drank one too many] Kinsman, we've heard nothing from you. What's your proposal?
[Geoffrey drinks more of the wine, and doesn't listen]
Sir Piers Pomfrey: KINSMAN!
Geoffrey Thwaites: [slurs] What?
Matron: [watching from the St Trinians camera] He's absolutely sloshed! What's happened?
Sir Piers Pomfrey: What's your take on these women?
Geoffrey Thwaites: [slurring] Women?
[scoffs and sputters]
Geoffrey Thwaites: Eh? I'll tell you what I realise right? I've had enough of them!

Good if you are looking for a Laugh
21 December 2009 | by (Wrexham, United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

i saw this today and as a part of its target audience, i would say that this has done a pretty good job. although, in my opinion it wasn't as good as the first film and does get a bit silly at times, it still had loads funny parts and was highly entertaining. I Particularly loved Chelsea, i loved how she had more of a chance to shine in this film more than in the other one and i loved Miss Fritton, again, she was a lot funnier in this film. I also loved Zoe the Emo's character, i thought she was a lot better and likable than the Emo from the last film. I think a lot of the reviews for this film have been unfair, its not supposed to be a clever, award-winning masterpiece, its supposed be a fun and light-hearted comedy which is what it has achieved very well. As long as its not taken seriously, St. Trinians 2 is a really good film.
