Dorothy Malone, who portrays Constance MacKenzie Carson, was rushed into the hospital. Lola Albright was her temporary replacement and announced her replacement in the opening song.
In 1965, in this episode of PEYTON PLACE (#153) Barbara Parkins as Betty Anderson says, "Ever since I was a little girl, I've always wished that Mount Everest was somewhere around here, so I could climb straight to the top and stand there and holler "I made it! I made it! See?" Two years later in 1967, Barbara Parkins as Anne Welles in VALLEY OF THE DOLLS says, "You've got to climb Mount Everest to reach the valley of the dolls. It's a brutal climb to reach that peak. You stand there, waiting for that rush of exhilaration, but it doesn't come. You're alone, and the feeling of loneliness is overpowering." What a fantastic chance that she would have two lines about Mount Everest related to her characters.
