The first film was mediocre at best, but this one is below average and has that B movie feel to it, but not one of those good B movies or so bad it's good B movies either. It ain't terrible, but kinda dull for the most part although it did have some tense scenes. This time around it is more of a slasher movie compared to the first one as well and is set 3 years before the first film. And has to do with how motel owner went from making porn with the guest that sleep in with a video camera, but how he got into doing snuff films as well when a real killer gets caught on tape killing a girl. It ain't as bad as some reviewers claim it to be and for a straight to DVD movie, it's worth a rent if your really bored and in the mood for a slasher flick although there are better ones out there. What I mostly liked about this is how this prequel sort of connects with the sequel, although this is the sequel since it came out later than the first film but takes place before it. Overall it's a less of a sequel, the first film was better, not saying the first film was above average or anything.
