Storyline

Billy (Michael Douglas), Paddy (Robert De Niro), Archie (Morgan Freeman) and Sam (Kevin Kline) have been best friends since childhood. So when Billy, the group's sworn bachelor, finally proposes to his thirty-something (of course) girlfriend, the four head to Las Vegas with a plan to stop acting their age and relive their glory days. However, upon arriving, the four quickly realize that the decades have transformed Sin City and tested their friendship in ways they never imagined. The Rat Pack may have once played the Sands and Cirque du Soleil may now rule the Strip, but it's these four who are taking over Vegas. Written by Production

Trivia

Was originally rated R by the MPAA for "brief sexual content" but was later overturned to PG-13 for "sexual content and language." According to director Jon Turteltaub, the initial R rating was due to one use of the word "blowjob". During the discussions with the MPAA he had to explain to them why a use of this word is appropriate for a PG-13 rated movie. See more »

Goofs

When Billy's first phone call takes place, announcing that he's getting married, he is the one who hosts the phone conference between the three. Although he is also the one who ends it, Archie and Sam seem to still talk to each other. That could not be possible since the conference host ended the call. See more »

Diana: You know, you are not as charming as you think you are.
Billy: Well, no one could be, quite frankly.

The Hangover pushing 70
3 November 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Four childhood friends who where like a good old gang back in the day, now 58 years later they all(Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, and Kevin Kline) have grown apart and living separate lives, and all pushing 70. But get a call to go to Las Vegas, for a friends engagement. Will these four old friends have the time of there lives?

All the great actors here have great chemistry and appears to be having fun being in the film together. The Las Vegas setting is awesome, and seems to take on a life of it's own. It was also very funny seeing the adventure and misadventure these guys get themselves into. It's also quite heartwarming, an enjoyable film for men and women.
