Storyline
Plot Summary |
Mayor Wöller feels flattered: Shortly before Christmas, he unexpectedly receives an audience with the Pope at very short notice. Since the invitation is for two people, he asks his favorite enemy, Sister Hanna, to accompany him to Rome. Hanna actually has no time at all because preparations for the big Christmas party are in full swing in the monastery. But she can be persuaded to make a generous donation for the children's gifts. Without asking the Mother Superior for permission, she flies to Rome with Wöller - not knowing that the Superior is on the way with her former abbess. But Hanna already has enough problems - with her travel companion. Not only does Wöller show no interest in the sights of the Eternal City, he also has absolutely no understanding of Hanna's support of a young, very pregnant hotel employee who has just been fired. When Wöller then finds out that the supposed private audience is a major event with 300 pilgrims, his good mood is completely over. Offended, he wants to leave. But nothing comes of it because a general strike paralyzes the Italian transport system. Wöller and sister Hanna barely manage to get hold of a dilapidated rental car and embark on a highly adventurous return journey. On the way they also pick up Laura, the young woman who lost her job at the hotel and has to go to Munich. When Hanna learns that the unfortunate woman has problems with her boyfriend, she moves heaven and earth to happily reunite Laura with the father of her child under the Christmas tree. But there is a long way to go until then. Written by ADR Das Erste |
