A bit of an ordinary episode, mainly consisting of set-up.Much of which seems to relate to the increasingly irritating Marco/Carmella "romance".The scene of Marco deleting Carmella's photo from his phone is presumably supposed to make us think he's moved on but he's obviously going to head back to Ramsey Street at some point otherwise he wouldn't still be in the show.
Rachel's runaway status leads to a lot of scenes of characters sitting around worrying about her although at least Susan, for once in her life, seems to admit she's made a miscalculation. The only interesting thing is the deepening of Taylah's character as she is given some back-story and a clear place in the scheme of things.Libby shows an odd lack of interest at the sight of Zeke and his friends charging off en masse, a moment that is followed up by an uncharacteristically off-kilter performance from Kym Valentine, with her inappropriately chirpy performance during her scene with Ned.These and the rather obvious fake crying dubbed onto Chloe are the episode's biggest bum notes.
And meanwhile it seems to be farewell to Janae as she finally notices that as an eighteen-year-old barely out of school she's not really best-suited to be playing surrogate mother to her older boyfriend's son(who is, let's face it, only ten years younger than her). It's a shame the departure of her family hasn't left Janae with many people to interact with.
