Did anyone besides myself watch the Eugene Hess scripted, Charles Winkler directed 50 Cent/Val Kilmer cop thriller “Streets of Blood?” Anyone? I didn’t think so. Although it wasn’t unbearable, it certainly wasn’t a memorable experience. According to Variety, 50 Cent and Mr. Kilmer — also known as the Second in Command of straight-to-video action flicks — will reteam for director Jesse Terro’s “The Gun,” which is scheduled to begin filming sometime next month in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The article also blames Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson for the script, so if you have any issues with the material whatsoever, you know exactly who to address your letters to. However, I strongly suggest keeping your opinions to yourself. Randall Emmett, George Furla, Richard Jackson, and, yes, Curtis jackson, will all handle producing duties. “The Gun” follows a pair of life-long friends as they gradually become entrenched within the shady world of illegal arms dealing. »

Despite being one of the richest rappers and has won several awards, 50 Cent seems unable to beat Chace Crawford when it comes to winning a crowd of screaming girls. He admitted to be shocked to know how girls went crazy over Chace on set of their upcoming film, "Twelve".
"You should see how the girls go crazy over Chace," he recalled as quoted by E! Online. "I'd see these people standing around, jumping up and down, and I'd say. 'What is going on?' Did they see me?' But then I'd see Chace standing outside. I need to get in on that."
Although Chace looked like to be the most popular of the two, 50 has nothing but good words for the "Gossip Girl" star. Talking about how good Chace is when portraying White Mike, the rapper praised his co-star, "He was really, really good on set. I mean, he'll »

If you’re wondering where Sharon Stone has been since her Anchor Bay release of Streets of Blood, you’re not the only one.
Prestige Magazine asked the Basic Instinct star if she had any current projects. I’m imagining it went a little something like this:
Prestige: So…Sharon Stone, what’s goin’ down?
Sharon Stone: I’m not sure what you mean? Is that an invitation for cunnilingus?
Prestige: Actually, it’s a dated urban vernacular for asking if there are any new events occurring that you may wish to share with us. I figured you might know this since you worked on Streets of Blood with 50 Cent…
Sharon Stone: Of course I knew that. I just thought…anyway, yes I am, it’s called Satisfaction. It’s a movie. It has sex in it. That’s what I do.
Stone will be playing an “older »

Happy DVD release day, people. Hitting stores this week is one of the year's biggest films, the animated film Monsters vs Aliens, plus a number of indie flicks you might have missed including Sam Mendes' Away We Go, Steven Soderbergh's The Girlfriend Experience starring Sasha Grey, and Shrink starring Kevin Spacey. Rian Johnson's The Brothers Bloom is also available for rental exclusively at Blockbuster today, but in a strange deal, it will not be available to buy in the U.S. until January (it will be available in Canada next week, however). In terms of TV releases, there are a ton of Fan Favorites collections for classic shows, plus season 4 of How I Met Your Mother, and then there's the massive 70th Anniversary Edition of The Wizard of Oz plus Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal on Blu-ray. Do you plan on picking anything up this week? Monsters vs Aliens [1] (DVD, »

The 2009 Hottest MCs in the Game rollout is on! As in 2007 and 2008, the list, determined by the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust, is based on an Mc's achievements right now, rather than an entire career. The criteria is based on a combination of rhyme skill, flow and how those things are implemented musically as the main factors. The Brain Trust also considers buzz, impact, commercial success — sales, airplay, business ventures, Web presence, endorsements and helping to spawn other artists' careers — and the intangible, impact: Can an artist not only contribute to the rap game but influence cultural shifts? Are they trendsetters? All of these factors — and the results of our audience poll, which closed last week and gets a vote at the Roundtable during the Brain Trust's debate »
