The sword that was forged using Kilgharah's dragon breath in season one, was meant to be Excalibur. The sword was used several times throughout the series, but was never called "Excalibur". It's only called "the sword forged in a dragon's breath".
Colin Morgan often had to stand indoors or in the shade when he wasn't shooting, to avoid looking pale in one scene and tanned in the next.
