The BBC has released a tidy pile of brand new pictures from Doctor Who series 9 episode, Face The Raven...
Now that Sleep No More is, er, no more, it's time to move on to the next episode of Doctor Who series nine: Face The Raven.
"The Doctor and Clara, with their old friend Rigsy, find themselves in a magical alien world, hidden on a street in the heart of London. Sheltered within are some of the most fearsome creatures of the universe… and Ashildr (Maisie Williams)! With a death sentence hanging over their heads, not all of the intruders will get out alive."

Is Face The Raven any good? Yes, yes, yessity-yes. Here's our spoiler-free review of the next Doctor Who series 9 episode...
Today, the BBC has cost me 40p. In that time, I've listened to a bit of radio, caught up with the news at the BBC website. And then?
I watched Saturday's Doctor Who.
Good grief. In a series that's not been afraid to take twists, turns, to go off in precisely the opposite direction that people were expecting, Face The Raven has again demonstrated the confidence and talent that's fuelling modern day Doctor Who. It does feel like we take a lot of this for granted, but there are several flat-out exquisite moments in this episode - not least Peter Capaldi giving his work in The Zygon Inversion a run for its money - that surely deserve at the very least a lot more respect. Some thunderous applause would help, »

In this exquisitely made and terrifying new horror film, the age-old concepts of witchcraft, black magic, and possession are innovatively brought together to tell the intimate and riveting story of one family's frightful unraveling in the New England wilderness circa 1630.
New England, 1630. Upon threat of banishment by the church, an English farmer leaves his colonial plantation, relocating his wife and five children to a remote plot of land on the edge of an ominous forest - within which lurks an unknown evil. »

No, your monitor isn't playing up. That distorted image above is a promotional picture for this Saturday's Doctor Who episode, Sleep No More, which looks set to be a creepy one.
Mark Gatiss has penned the script, and his League Of Gentlemen cohort Reece Shearsmith has been recruited for a guest appearance. Justin Molotnikov - of Merlin, Atlantis, Da Vinci's Demons and My Parents Are Aliens vintage - directed this episode, as well as the one that will follow it - Face The Raven.
"This terrifying story is assembled from footage discovered in the wreckage of Le Verrier Space Station," the brief synopsis tells us.

Some key members of the Rocky Horror Picture Show cast reunited for an interview on Today to celebrate the cult classic's 40th anniversary and discuss the impact it had on their lives. "I've had so many people come up to me and say that film helped them through a dark time," Susan Sarandon, who played the film's Janet Weiss, said.
"The thing that resonated for me, more than anything, was 'Don't dream it, be it,' which was a really good slogan," said Tim Curry, who starred as transvestite Transylvanian Dr. »

Pulver, best known as portraying Irene Adler in the second season of Sherlock, will star alongside the returning Kate Beckinsale as Selene, in addition to Theo James (Divergent), Tobias Menzies (Outlander), Bradley James (Merlin) and newcomer Clementine Nicholson. The movie is set to begin production soon.
This will be the fifth movie in the Underworld franchise and the first since Underworld Awakening in 2012, which brought in $160 million worldwide. No word yet on a plot for Underworld: Next Generation, but logic would dictate this its about the next group of vampires and lycans with Beckinsale in a supporting role.

Can you believe it's been seven years since Colin Morgan's boy wizard first strode onto our screens?
The series premiere of Merlin on September 20, 2008 set us off on a magical five-year journey - one with mythical monsters, wicked warlocks and excessive amounts of bromantic banter.
Millions tuned in each Saturday night for the show's blend of fun, fantasy and friendship - because Merlin and Arthur (Bradley James) were definitely just friends, Ok? - but what's happened to Camelot's finest since that epic final episode?
The aged Emrys might still be waiting for King Arthur to revive, but Merlin lead Colin Morgan hasn't lain dormant these past few years. He appeared opposite fellow Irish legend Gabriel Byrne in BBC One's moody detective drama Quirke in 2014, was seduced by Gillian Anderson as mercurial copper Tom Anderson in The Fall and played cyborg Leo in Channel 4's smash hit Humans. »

Doctor Who is returning next week for it's ninth season. Peter Capaldi is back once again in the title role. He's gotten good reviews for his portrayal of the character. Capaldi is the 13th actor to play the eponymous Time Lord hero. Cinelinx looks back at the previous decades of Doctor Who and rates all the lead actors of the show's long history.
The First Doctor (Played by William Hartnell) was an aging, eccentric curmudgeon. He had little patience and he didn't suffer fools gladly. He could be very intolerant and dismissive of his traveling companions (except for his beloved Granddaughter Susan) although he started to lighten up as the show went on, learning to enjoy a bemused chuckle once in a while. He started out as an anti-hero but slowly grew into the selfless hero we know today.

Bradley James (Merlin; iZombie) has signed on to co-star as one of the lead villains in Screen Gems & Lakeshore Entertainment's upcoming fifth installment in the long-running Underworld franchise. Outside of being described as the film's male villain, details on his role are scarce, but we do know he'll be facing off against Kate Beckinsale (Stonehearst Asylum)'s Selene. James is best known for his work as King Arthur Pendragon on the BBC One fantasy-adventure drama Merlin and was most recently seen on the CW zombie cop drama iZombie. The plan with Underworld 5, as we understand it, isn't to reboot the series, but to nonetheless use the movie to try and attract fresh fans to the franchise. This time around, the film has been penned by Cory Goodman (The Last Witch Hunter), and Anna Foerster is set to direct the movie.
Shooting on Underworld 5 gets underway next month, with the production based in Prague. The movie is set for release on October 21st 2016. Think that's everything for now...
Former "Merlin" star Bradley James has scored the role of the male villain in the newly titled "Underworld: Next Generation," the fifth film in the popular supernatural series at Screen Gems and Lakeshore.
James recently wrapped work on the first season of the A&E series "Damien" which premieres next year.

Holly birthday, Happyoaks! Sorry, let's try that again. Happy birthday, Hollyoaks! That's better.
It's often written off as the runt of the soap litter, but we're rather affectionate towards Hollyoaks. Surprisingly, it's not only survived but is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary this autumn. It now boasts 50 regulars and a faster pace than any other soap, but can you believe that Hollyoaks once focused on the adventures of only seven main characters?
Launching on Channel 4 in October 1995 with just one episode per week, Hollyoaks gradually earned a place in viewers' hearts as it followed the tangled lives and torrid loves of Kurt, Jambo, Louise, Maddie, Natasha, Dawn and Tony. So where are Chester's magnificent seven now?

To clarify, this article and the ones similar to it are not reviews of this fall/midseason’s pilots (because pilots can change a lot between now and when they broadcast). These are just my first impressions of the not-for-air network pilots that I have been able to screen. I last wrote about The CW’s Containment. Next up: Fox’s Lucifer, which premieres at midseason. The Premise: Based on the DC/Vertigo comic. Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar has abandoned his throne and retired to L.A., where he owns Lux, an upscale nightclub, and begins assisting a skeptical detective on an investigation after a friend of his is murdered. The Cast: Tom Ellis (Merlin) as Lucifer Morningstar, Lauren German (Chicago Fire) as Detective Chloe Dancer, Db Woodside (24) as Amenadiel, Rachael Harris (Suits, New Girl) as Kim Martin, Scarlett Estevez (The Massively Mixed-Up Middle School Mystery) as Trixie, »
