A moving love story and a surprisingly good British indie for once

A beautifully shot, really lovely, subtly performed, love story filled with hope - it felt very real and moving.

It reminded me of Richard Linklater's Before sunrise/sunset films, with it's use of London as a backdrop instead of Paris. It focuses on the dreams of two characters: Mike, a down on his luck Manchester lad who draws comic books and Lucy, a waitress who wants to play piano professionally but has taken a wrong turn and deals with how sometimes being stuck in the past can stop you moving forward with your dreams and hopes.

It was great to see a British Indie film that was able to show a subtle, emotional story at it's own pace that really keys into it's characters, a gem of a film.

A film of real heart, hope that is told with real honestly and with much care and skill.

Ignore IMDb's strange voting system and have a look at the breakdown of reviews to see how people really feel about this film!

A film of real heart, love and hope that is told with real honestly and with much care and skill.

There is a great understanding of love and hope as well an excellent appreciation and perspective of London and the struggles of modern urban life.

Beautifully shot, wonderfully subtle direction and great central performances make this a real find.

If you liked Before Sunrise/Sunset and that type of filmmaking, you'll love this.
