The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the first announced today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on NBC.
The Peacock did not have a good year. Only one of its new shows, "Revolution," was a true hit. Another, "Chicago Fire," got renewed by the skin of its teeth whilst the fate of a third, "Hannibal," remains uncertain.
None of last year's new comedies survived, neither did two mid-season dramas, which leaves the network with some big holes to fill. Three dramas and three comedies will debut in the Fall ahead of three more dramas and two comedies mid-season. Two further dramas and a comedy are presently unscheduled.
Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't become series including the high-profile Charlize Theron-produced drama about the Hatfields and McCoys, the Bruckheimer-produced »

The new fall season is closer than you think, and NBC has released their full schedule. Apart from reality favorites The Biggest Loser and The Voice, they are mixing things up quite a bit.
Take a look at a complete preview of the shows coming your way, and mark your calendars. It looks good for NBC this year, and while I’m not sure all of these look like winners, I think you’ll find at least a couple that you’re really going to like.

In October of last year, right around the time the show Arrow had premiered, I quit my job to become a full time missionary. My fiancé was going to school for missionary work as well. At Christmas time of that year, we both received a well-deserved break. We are both huge nerds, just in different aspects of the term – whatever the case, both of us love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies.
Right around the time of our break last year, the third entry in the series (Dog Days) had just come out on Blu-Ray and DVD, so of course we rented it to see it was as good as the first two films. I remember one scene in particular where Greg convinces Rowley to ride the Cranium Scrambler: when they first attempted to get on the ride, the wait time was 80 minutes. They are supposed to meet up »

A few years ago several studios set a course to cash in on the young adult fantasy void that would eventually be left by Harry Potter. 20th Century Fox placed its bet on Rick Riordan's ongoing Percy Jackson and the Olympians series of novels. And it paid off. Kind of. The first film, 2010's The Lightning Thief, didn't do too hot here in the States. Most dismissed the film about the adventures of the teenaged children of mythological gods, and the result was a disappointing $88 million haul. It fared better on a global scale, though, and so Fox eventually gave the series' second book, Sea of Monsters, a green light and handed directorial duties on to Diary of a Wimpy Kid director Thor Freudenthal. As you'll see in the first trailer for the film, Logan...

In 2010 Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief grossed $88.7 million domestically and added an additional $137.7 million internationally on a $95 million budget, which isn't exactly the greatest return on investment... at least not theatrically. I'm sure the result was positive after TV rights and home video, but releasing a sequel three years later when no one was really discussing the first one seems a bit odd... to me at least. Additionally, the first film was directed by Chris Columbus, director of the first two Harry Potter films and the two Home Alone features, the upcoming release of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters is directed by Thor Freudenthal whose credits inclue Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Hotel for Dogs, which I guess suggests the kind of audience Fox is looking to attract. That said, the first Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters trailer has now premiered in advance of its upcomign August »

The first trailer Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters has been released. The first Percy Jackson received mixed critical response and lukewarm box office, but the sequel seems to be retaining the same tone even though Thor Freudenthal (Diary of a Wimpy Kid) has replaced Chris Columbus at the helm. Hopefully, the sequel will have a better plot, but since this trailer appears to give away a lot of the movie, it already looks overcrowded with the best moment belonging to Nathan Fillion, who plays Hermes. Hit the jump to watch the trailer. The film stars Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jackson, Stanley Tucci, Douglas Smith, Leven Rambin, Missi Pyle, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Mary Birdsong. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters opens in 3D on August 16th. Click over to MTV to watch in HD. »
