I hope "District Attorney Madeline Klein" does not become a regular on this show. What a negative, irritating, annoying woman this is - and she works with CSI. Well, sort of. She actually does nothing but moan and groan about the CSI team and how bad they are, except for Grissom. This woman is a real loser, and she admits it. I wouldn't have known the role was played by veteran actress Bonnie Bedalia. She played Bruce Willis' wife in "Die Hard 1 & 2" and earlier played the lead role of Shirley Muldowney, the famous female car racer in "Heart Like A Wheel." Boy, Bonnie - as most of us have - has gained some weight in her older age. She's still a good actress and facially looks pretty good for a 60-year-old.

Despite "Madeline's" brutal personality, and the fact it's revealed she screwed up big-time on this case, which involves the death of a material witness who was going to testify in a gang case. The leader of the gang, locked in prison, is pretty amazing-looking with tats all over his body including a huge one on the back of his shaved noggin. He's "Amelio Avarado" and he's played by Robert LaSardo. The latter also played a bad guy in a CSI: Miami episode in the 2006 season. He's pretty intense.

The best part of this episode, I thought, was Paul Guilfoyle as "Lt. Jim Brass." He feels just awful about the witness being killed since he promised the family the man would be safe. Guilfoyle's sincere grief over this is convincing because the man is an outstanding actor. He's a veteran thespian who really knows what he's doing. It's a pleasure to watch him act.

Trying to find out exactly how the witness was murdered is the case here, as the man died in a fiery car and with a gunshot wound in his side. It's pretty interesting how it happened.
