Simultaneously pretentious and stupid
lor_30 October 2019
Guy Capo is one of the more pretentious directors to grind out content for Penthouse Video, witness his attempt at a "serious" counter-cultural porn feature "Sexual Revolution". This time he takes on a slapstick version of "Oedipus Rex", with the final line of this junker being: "Perhaps I should have studied Sophocles".

In the title role is a particularly hammy Steven St. Croix, pulling faces and staging pratfalls as if auditioning for Second City or SNL. We meet him, gun in hand, about to commit suicide on his 30th birthday, with 90 minutes of porn to explain how he came to that pass.

It's never funny, and insultingly mindless regarding the source material. The sex scenes conform to standard Penthouse content, and in circuitous fashion our anti-hero ends up accidentally killing his dad and finding out he's had sex with his new stepmother.

Voodoo is on hand to put his big dick to buxom Czech starlet Victoria, and also handles (as usual) the dumb q&a action for the BTS short subject. His wife Nicole Sheridan handles still photography but only signs her name as Nicole this time out, and does not appear on screen.
