From there on he and his family and tutor travel to Paris, France where Indy meets a young Norman Rockwell and gets involved in a quarrel between the painters Edgar Degas and Pablo Picasso. Improvement over the opening DVD
28 November 2010 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

This show is showing promise with this story. As part of his world tour Henry Jones Senior (played by Lloyd Owen doing a fairly decent interpretation of a young Sean Connery)takes his family on safari. The production value of this part of the story is excellent, and you are genuinely convinced you are in Africa. James Gammon gives a fun take on Roosevelt. Raiders alumni Paul Freeman turns up as a hunter helping Roosevelt out. Carrier gives a good performance, bonding with an African nomadic boy, and giving some of the key characters a lecture on animal welfare and conservation, a bold move and a theme that is satisfying. This becomes a broader intention by executive producer Goerge Lucas to use these stories to educate and inform, as well as entertain. The second part is sent in Paris and while mildly amusing in places, isn't as strong. British actor Danny Webb has a fun turn playing Picasso Solid improvement over the first re cut story and showing promise for further episodes
