Trivia:
In accordance with the film's strong political theme, the official Internet site used a grassroots pre-publicity marketing strategy. Users on the site, dubbed "American Carolers", could make use of online tools to email friends about the film, network with other fans, etc. Points were given based on participation, and prizes (tickets, posters, etc) were awarded to the highest scorers. The names of the top 16 "Carolers" are on the DVD, in the Bonus Features under "Special Thanks".See more »
Goofs:
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Patton speaks dismissively of his portrayal in Patton (1970) ("That Patton was an actor!"). And yet throughout the film Kelsey Grammer speaks in the gruff, gravely voice that George C. Scott used in that picture. In fact, the real historical Patton spoke in a sharp, nasal, and slightly Southern accented voice.See more »

Pretty tame for liberals to rant over., 6 October 2008
Author: zterrell from United States

Being an Independent voter, my wife and I went to this simply because it was the first political movie made from the Concerservative point of view. We expected the slams to be fast and furious, but the movie was silly...like Airplane or Hot Shots or Silent Movie. Yes, the message was to turn a guy who promotes a lot of hate against America into becoming someone who loves America, but with a stream of slapstick and sight jokes, it was no different than the other satires of Horror or Epic movies. There were truths shown here that can't be argued...not even by the lopsided polls done on CNBC...that university professors and journalists are mostly liberals. Still, it would be like taking a Three Stooges movie and using it as a stage to condemn violence. No one really gets hurt. I do find it amazing that Democrats who denounce name calling and tolerance for all have none when it comes to anyone pointing a finger their direction. As for Replicans, they refuse to bend on issues like 'common sense gun control' or supporting the tobacco industry. In summation, I wouldn't use this movie as a guideline on who to vote for, but it's probably a more honest representation than the upcoming Oliver Stone about George W Bush.
