Trivia

Yurak is one of the only two named characters in Voltron whose death is not omitted (from the original Japanese version). The other one being Commander Kio during the Vehichle Explorer season. Although it could be argued that Yurak was said to be a robot after his Robeast conversion (the throwaway line "Let's trim this robot's ears), he was not depicted as a robot in any prior episodes.
