Having successfully reinvented the Batman movie franchise - and redefined the entire superhero genre - with his Dark Knight trilogy, Christopher Nolan is now busy helping to bring another DC icon to the screen as producer on Zack Snyder's forthcoming Superman reboot Man of Steel. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Nolan has spoken of his admiration for Snyder's work on the film, as well as touching upon the challenges facing the Watchmen director as he attempts to realise the world of the Man of Tomorrow and make us believe Henry Cavill (Immortals) can fly.
"Zack was the perfect man to take this on; he is unbelievably skilled at creating a coherent, cohesive world. Whether it’s a very stylized world, like 300, or something that’s more challenging, more varied, like he did with Watchmen. In my honest appraisal, taking on Superman and creating that world is far »

It was inevitable that Hollywood would make a movie about the raid that killed America’s most wanted. And celluloid got not one, but two. Seal Team Six: The Raid of Osama Bin Laden came out first, playing on the National Geographic Channel and Netflix before its DVD and Blu-ray release. (The other is Zero Dark Thirty, which hits theaters the weekend after Seal Team Six arrives on disc.)
In Seal Team Six, Cam Gigandet (Pandorum), Anson Mount (Burning Palms), Freddy Rodriguez (TV’s Six Feet Under) and Xzibit (Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans) are among the SEALs called to a secret and important mission. Kathleen Robertson (TV’s Boss) plays Vivian, the agent who has been tracking Osama Bin Laden and believes she has identified the compound where the Al Quaida leader has been hiding. »
To promote the arrival of The Dark Knight Rises on Blu-ray and DVD earlier this week, The Playlist sat down with Christopher Nolan to discuss his acclaimed Batman trilogy. As well as reiterating once more that Tdkr wraps up his Dark Knight saga - "I'll say definitively again, I am done with the Batman films, the trilogy is completed. It ended in the manner we had envisioned" - the conversation shifted towards DC Comics' other iconic superhero, with Nolan taking a moment to comment on director Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman reboot, Man of Steel.
"I wouldn’t want people to think we're doing for Superman what we did for Batman... [Man of Steel] is very much Zack’s film and I think people are going to love what he's done. I think it's really remarkable to take on that character. Superman is a completely different character than Batman. So you can't »
Sometimes we get stuff sent to us here at Dread Central that leaves us utterly conflicted in regards to whether or not we're going to share it with you.
We have confirmed that the below still that was sent our way is actually from Pandorum, but you have to admit Norman Reedus' look is quite similar between the two projects. Well then. We feel much better. Better to have a false alarm than to have someone we all love go out like that!

Cooper stars as Rory Jansen, a young literary hopeful who risks it all to become a success. While on their honeymoon in Paris, Rory and his wife Dora (Saldana) step inside an antique shop where they find a briefcase that will later reveal the key to the career he has always desired… but the find comes with a steep price and the revelation that life’s choices can have a drastic effect on not just the “chooser,” but on all those around him.
Special Mention: The Fake Trailers from Grindhouse (2007, USA): The four fake trailers featured in the otherwise disappointing Robert Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino double-feature: Machete by Robert Rodriguez, Werewolf Women of the SS by Rob Zombie, Thanksgiving by Eli Roth and Don’t by Edgar Wright-are all very entertaining trips down horror/exploitation film memory lane and are easily the best part of the film.

This list focuses on films that are partially successful and even touch on brilliance at times but ultimately don’t pull everything together to fully deliver on their promise.
This film about a group of people blessed with supernatural good luck has a great premise, several great scenes-the revelation of the plane crash early in the film, the blindfolded race through the trees and the Russian roulette climax-plus the welcome presence of »

Who is Bronze Lion? Well, he’s played by real-life Mma fighter turned actor Cung Le (“Pandorum”), for one. And judging by this character spot, he’s a humorous type of fella, too. Check out the first of what I assume will be many more character spots for Le’s Bronze Lion. In feudal China, a blacksmith who makes weapons for a small village is put in the position where he must defend himself and his fellow villagers. Also starring RZA, Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, Jamie Chung, Pam Grier, Dave Bautista, Osric Chau, Daniel Wu, Chia Hui Liu, Rick Yune, Zhu Zhu, and Byron Mann. After its Sundance premiere back in early 2010, music video helmer Braden King‘s Here is now finally getting a theatrical release and we’ve got the first trailer today. Ben Foster, who usually always turns out strong performances, but seems to mix up his features with utter crap (The Mechanic, Pandorum, Contraband) and strong efforts (The Messenger, 3:10 To Yuma), leads this film as a cartographer exploring Armenia. He hooks up with Lubna Azabal, who we’ve seen in Incendies, and they go on a road trip. Vulture has our first trailer, which gives us an enticing look at a seemingly well-photographed romantic drama. Check it out below.
