I saw this film this past weekend as part of the Women of Color Film Festival in downtown Atlanta and was blown away by this work. It is a great story about love - "boy meets girl" - that nearly every person who has ever had even the slightest attraction to another can relate to. I don't think this is a spoiler - it's told from the perspective of both parties of the relationship, so no matter your gender, you can identify with the thoughts and emotions expressed at every juncture of the film. I found myself thinking so much about the woman I love and, remorsefully, the relationships of the past. I don't want to play down the enormity of this film with my next statement, but the message in "I Want You" was conveyed in such a simplistic manner that one could not help but be mesmerized by the film. The music selected in this film was excellent and went very well with every scene. I left this film wanting to see more of this type of work. I leave this review with one word: Phenomenal!
