The show was the most expensive Norwegian children's series at the time. It took 218 days to shoot from January 2005 to March 2006, and a total of 18 months of post-production, partly overlapping with the shooting period. The long production time meant that, though the episodes are supposed to take place on 24 consecutive days, the producers had to deal with the leading children's growth spurts. Mild winter conditions forced the crew to bring in artificial snow. See more
