A very interesting plot idea and it sure was made well
VENOM is a very professional looking short film, with lovely music and cinematography which made the film seem like it had a big budget. I also loved the back story--a lonely widow loses her pet cat to a bee sting, so she's a one-woman bug-killing crusader who is determined NOT to let her new cat succumb. Again and again, you see this old lady stomping bugs and spraying the house and cat repeatedly for bugs. This was all very humorous and had me hooked.
Despite this auspicious beginning, though, the final sequence didn't pay off that well to me. Sure, you are left to wonder if it happened or if it was a dream, but it just seemed that the film was better in the first half than the last. Still, will some amazing cinematography, music and deft direction, there's still a lot to like about this film.
