When Mark Hunter (Michael Douglas) goes to the prison to tell C. J. Nicholas (Jesse Metcalfe) that the phones in the prison can be spied, he leaves and surpasses a corner. Then, the camera changes to Nicholas, who insults Hunter. When the camera returns to Hunter, he is slightly before the corner again.
At the beginning of the movie when CJ Nicholas (Jesse Metcalfe) is doing the coffee taste test he is clean shaven. When he is talking to Ella Crystal (Amber Tamblyn) outside the courthouse not even an hour later, he has a day's growth.
(at around 1h 18 mins) When Ella goes to view the evidence, you can see the tag on the sweat pants as Ella covers it with her thumb. When the tag is shown again seconds later it is totally shredded apart.
When C.J. and Finley are visiting the animal shelter, they ask the attendant who gives them the dog to pose for their video with a newspaper in his hand. As they are about to leave the animal shelter the attendant gives the newspaper back to C.J. In the next shot, although C.J. had taken the newspaper out of the attendant's hands already in the shot before, the newspaper is back in the hands of the attendant who then gives it to C.J. once again.
At the end of the trial, a reporter said the DA announced he would seek the death penalty. In fact, the DA would have had to serve notice prior to the trial that he was going to seek the death penalty and the jury would have had to been qualified for a death penalty case, i.e. jury members must agree they would return the verdict of death if they felt it was warranted.
