Exploring the Hills: The Making of 'The Hills Have Eyes 2' (2007)

** 1/2 (out of 4)

Twelve-minute promotional piece has Wes Craven talking about how the studio wanted to turn this into a franchise so he and his son Jonathan offered to write the screenplay. From here we meet various cast and crew members who discuss what it was like working on the picture. This sequel pretty much gets your basic DVD bonus feature as there's really nothing overly special here, although there's no question that fans of the film will want to at least watch it once for the various behind-the-scenes footage. There's quite a bit of it actually as we get to see how various scenes are filmed and how the CGI comes into play. There's a lot of talk about the various stunts that are done throughout the film and Craven talks about how he wanted this one to be more frightening than the first. Again, there's nothing ground-breaking here but if you're a fan of the film then it's worth watching.
