How large is Empire Bay?

The city you play in will be around 10 square miles (Twice the size of the original)

Empire bay is about 2/3rd's of GTA 4's Liberty City

Technically yes. While there is an 8-year gap between games, and the first game took place during the 1930's, in the city of Lost Heaven. Mafia II takes place largely in the 1950's in a city called Empire Bay. The basic tie-ins are mentions of Lost Heaven and there's a mission Where Vito and Joe murder a federal informant, who turns out to be Tommy D'Angelo, your character from the first game. Which was actually the final cutscene from the first game as well.

In the Japanese Version black bars were put over the breasts of all the 50 playmates, which are collectibles which can be fount all over the game. If the player collects all of them, an achievement is unlocked in the console versions. A detailed comparison between both versions with pictures can be found here.
