Good concept, poor execution. The acting was decent up until the Oujia board fight scene, from then on it got worse and worse. The movie would have been great if everything transpired over a course of three days instead of 21. Dragging the movie out made everything so boring and repetitive... You have repeating pattern of lame acting then bedroom scene, lame acting then bedroom scene. After the 3rd bedroom scene all tension and suspense are lost, you know the demon is going to mess with them.. Like when a friend pops out behind a corner unexpectedly trying to scare you, you might get scared the first time, but if he tries the same exact thing 5 minutes later it's completely lame. And that's exactly how this movie is, it tries to scare you the exact same way like 15 times in a row within minutes of each other.
Primarily my problem with this movie is that no one on Earth would subject themselves to 21 nights of demon scares... You wake up and see footprints on the floor, you leave the house immediately, lol you wouldn't crawl back in the bed and go to sleep I don't care who you are. I know the girl says "the demon will just follow me" go sleep at a church then lol... The guy had hard videotaped evidence, he could have taken that tape to a scientist and had their sleep monitored. The point is no one would have chosen to stay there ALONE especially for that length of time.
