A word to the wise: never spill your secrets to Adrian! The latest episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager showed us something that most people have probably known since the beginning of this series: don't trust Adrian with private matters.
Another good tip learned in "When Bad Things Happen to Bad People?" Don't go near Adrian when she's been hurt.
Lest you think I'm being too hard on Adrian, I'll start by saying that it sucks what happened between her and Omar. Though it might save them both from a lot of future heartache, the present situation is definitely not enjoyable. The thing is, I always thought Omar was a pretty stand up guy. But the way he sprung that breakup on Adrian was classless.
He spent a whole night having sex with her... then dropped the bomb the next morning while she was headed out to class. »

The CW is holding both "Star-Crossed" and "The 100" in reserve for mid-season duty, but during the recent TV Upfronts they released a few photos from each show's pilot, and we have a look at them all right here.
Both series have a sci-fi tinge, but "The 100" especially, with its post-apocalyptic setting and the presence of Henry Ian Cusick (“Lost,” “Scandal”), has our attention for sure. And while "Star-Crossed" definitely seems to appeal to the more romantic types among us, it has a lot of familiar faces and could be worth watching for one or two episodes at least.
So while you're here, check out the photos below (top row from "The 100" and bottom from "Star-Crossed"). For more info visit "The 100" and "Star-Crossed" on Cwtv.com, and follow "The 100" (@cwthe100) and "Star-Crossed" (@CWStarCrossed) on Twitter.

Good morning! Thanks to Heather Hogan for Brewing while I was out last week.
I love Gabrielle Union so hard. She's played a lesbian in Running with Scissors and I'm waiting patiently for her to do it again. In the meantime, she is talking about her crushes on anchorwomen:
Soledad O’Brien! But I’ve been obsessed with her for years. The “Black in America” series, they take up a lot of space in my DVR, and I refuse to erase them. If you come over my house you’re gonna watch some part of “Black in America.” I will make sure the conversation is steered toward something that gives me a reason to watch “Black in America.” She has a rare combination of being painfully genuine and honest and delivering information in a way that you believe her »

A bizarre case of a dognapping has come to a happy ending. Walter, an 11-year-old miniature Yorkshire terrier belonging to actress Tricia O'Kelley, has been returned home safely.
The situation began earlier this week when O'Kelley, an actress known for roles on "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and "The New Adventures of Old Christine," found that Walter had gone missing. It only got stranger when a man called on Thursday (May 16), demanding a ransom for the dog's return.
O'Kelley and her husband did agree to pay $1000 and were planning to meet the dognapper -- bringing along a police officer -- but the man backed out at the last minute. Turning next to social media, the worried owners reached out to anyone who might have seen Walter.
For more details, read Zap2It's original story here.
Fortunately, what was seeming like a dog-owner's worst nightmare finally came to a »

Tricia O'Kelley, best known as Camille on "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and Mary Ehrhardt on "The New Adventures of Old Christine," is desperate for the return of her 11-year-old Miniature Yorkshire Terrier, Walter.
Walter is deaf, and Tricia says "he is very trusting, and would go with anyone," which may be how he made it out of her fenced-in backyard in Hollywood.
Late Thursday night (May 16), Tricia received a phone call from the man who has her dog. He demanded a reward for the return of Tricia's beloved pet, and when she asked how much he wanted, the unidentified man asked, "Why don't you tell me how much your dog is worth? I could keep him; I could sell him ... "
After settling on a $1,000 reward, Tricia and her husband followed the advice of Hollywood police, which was to obey the man's orders. He had instructed the couple »

The CW has long been one of the best supporters of Our Kind of Shows, and at this year’s Upfronts they put even more money where our hearts are. Of the six new shows announced for the fall and winter schedule, four are for us: The Originals, The Tomorrow People, The 100, and Star-Crossed. Now of course more than one has that trademark The CW soap opera-ish spin on it, but hey, not Every show is for every one of us.
Here to assist in our prejudging are synopses for all, via Deadline, and maybe even better, clips and/or TV spots. There’s not really anything new for The Originals, but fans will want to see it all again anyway. The Tomorrow People features the wonderful Mark Pellegrino so it’s my favorite of the four.

A conservative and notoriously anti-gay group is claiming responsibility for the cancellation of the NBC series "The New Normal."
Joe. My. God cites an email sent to him from Monica Cole, the leader of One Million Moms, who writes, "Our persistence has paid off once again! 'The New Normal' got the axe by NBC after the show’s first and only season!"
Cole points to a number of other shows, including "The Cleveland Show" and "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" as being "set to be pulled" in the wake of One Million Moms' opposition.
"One Million Moms continues to fight for the moral values that have served our country so well for so long," she concludes. "We do so without apology."

The CW presented its 2013-14 broadcast schedule today, and we have all the details of who's paired with whom and on which nights we'll be able to see our favorites as well as some clips and previews.
Excerpts from the Press Release:
“We had a terrific season last year, growing our audience on-air, digitally, and socially. Now we are building on that success by continuing to add more original programming all year long and by adding high-concept, exciting shows to our schedule that will help us continue our mission of broadening out our 18-to-34-year old audience,” said Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW. “‘Arrow’ was one of the breakout hits of this season, and we’re using that show and ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ our two highest-rated series, to launch our new dramas ‘The Tomorrow People’ and ‘Reign,’ on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Well... it's about damn time, Anne! The latest episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager brought back mama Juergens and I don't think I'm alone in saying she was greatly missed.
In "All My Sisters With Me" Anne spit out in two minutes what everyone else has taken two months to get to.
Anne blew back into town to find her former family had moved on without her. She admitted to Kathleen how lost she was feeling and that she almost felt caught between two worlds. However, no amount of self-confusion could cloud Anne's mind when it came to daughter Amy's problems.
I think you either get married and stay here or you move to New York and go to school, but not both. It’s one or the other. | permalink
It's been so obvious to the audience that Amy is so conflicted over what to do with Ricky. »

Hooray for May, one of my favorite months of the year. Spring is in full swing, school is winding down, and the summer movie season has kicked off with the first studio blockbuster, "Iron Man 3." With so many excellent family choices coming up, it's a good time to stay in and save for those summer movie matinees. This week, I'm recommending the live-action reboot of a Disney classic, a kid-friendly fairy-tale comedy, and a prom season favorite. Rated G Pick: "101 Dalmatians" (1996, 103 minutes) Netflix Amazon Instant iTunes Kids Will Love: Kids who've seen the Disney classic will still find this live-action adaptation hilarious. Glenn Close's campy performance as Cruella de Vil and all the slapstick routines courtesy of her bumbling henchmen (English comedy greats Hugh Laurie and Mark Williams) will keep kiddos laughing for an hour and a half. Parents Will Love: Glenn Close was born to play Cruella de »

The only thing that's more annoying lately than logging on to Facebook to see another five engagement announcements is the constant talk of marriage on The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
The only saving grace (no pun intended) in "First and Last" was the fact that I think some of this cast is finally starting to realize that "marriage" and "teenager" don't belong in the same sentence.
It's like this show went from being the scripted Teen Mom to something on the Wedding Channel.
Without even bothering to get into statistics about marriage and age, let's focus on the many outstanding scenes that demonstrated Amy and Grace's reluctance to get hitched. I think Amy is truly 50/50 on the whole thing. She looks really happy in the above picture with Ricky. She loves Ricky, she loves John and I believe that some large part of her does want to marry Ricky. »

Another week on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, another week of unresolved issues.
In "Interference" Amy misplaced her rings, causing a lot of tension in her already shaky relationship with fiancee Ricky. He was fired up and demanded they set aside a time to talk. Little did he know that Ben had creepily slipped Amy's rings in his pocket while she was sleeping!
The trouble with Amy and Ricky is that they both do a lot of talking, just never to each other. Take Ricky, for example: he spent the entire episode talking about his relationship with Amy but it was to George, Lauren and Madison. It was never to Amy.
Normally I rag on Madison and Lauren because their characters have always kind of sucked, but I was actually glad for once that they spoke to Ricky. I felt really bad for him when he admitted "I »

Good morning!
Spain's openly lesbian politician Ángeles Álvarez is encouraging closeted women to come out. She's like "Look, guys, I did it and I survived!"
I never thought I'd read these words; "She plays a glam lesbian plumber." Apparently that is true of Joanne Matthews in the new BBC sitcom The Wright Way. The actress told The Daily Star:
Susan moves in her lesbian girlfriend, which riles [her dad]. He is very Ocd about everything.
Her Gf, played by Jennifer Saunders’ daughter Beattie Edmondson, has a fake Jamaican accent "as her character wants to be a DJ." This show sounds terrible or amazing.
If NeNe Leakes were gay, I feel like she'd be out about it, considering she's on two of the gayest TV shows on air. But Real Housewives lesbian rumors just keep on happening.
