Storyline

Dr. Magnus, Will and Ashley rescue three attractive young women from a tomb that is well guarded by violent creatures. The three women - Danu, Tatha and Caird - all claim to be from the Middle Ages but Will is having none of that and is convinced that they are suffering from the same delusion. Dr. Magnus thinks otherwise if for no other treason that the women were kept under a heavily armed guard. The women all wear the same ring and the symbols point to their enemy who want the women back - and who are prepared to destroy the sanctuary to get them. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

Historic, or mythic, hodgepodge. The episode title, Fata Morgana, is an Italian name for a type of mirage and for Morgan le Fey, a character in the Welsh Arthurian legends. One witch sister mentions the battle of Badon Hill, the greatest battle Arthur fought against the Anglo-Saxons somewhere around 500 AD. The sisters remember the miasma, identified as bubonic plague, which first reached Europe around 1345 AD. The Morrigan as three sisters is an Irish myth. Magnus found them entombed in Scotland.
