Several people are hunted by a cruel serial killer who kills his victims in their dreams. While the survivors are trying to find the reason for being chosen, the murderer won't lose any chance to kill them as soon as they fall asleep.
Death stalks the dreams of several young adults to claim its revenge on the killing of Freddy Kruger. Chased and chastised by this finger-bladed demon, it is the awakening of old memories and the denials of a past of retribution that spurns this hellish vision of a dreamlike state and turns death into a nightmare reality. The same animators who did the CGI work for Harvey Dent/Two Face in The Dark Knight (2008) were brought in to do the CGI work for Freddys face. See more »
(at around 55 mins) During swimming practice, Quentin is shown hanging off the dive platform at the end of his lane, listening to the coach talk. 3 or 4 drops of water rise out of the pool and fly up to his elbow, revealing that this particular scene is being played in reverse. (Also you can just make out from the top right of the screen that the coach is actually walking backwards, as shown by the string coming from his right pocket which you can see in the next camera angle) See more »

This movie was awful. The script was weak. It was a sad knock off of the original Nightmare with less special effects. I see why Robert Englund wasn't in this movie. It wasn't worth it. I'm sooooo disappointed. I yawned more than anything and I wasn't scared not once. I really wanted this to be a good remake, but it wasn't. The special effects were 1980s at best. The acting was pretty good, but the script lacked originality and depth. The twist was stupid. I felt like I was watching the original Freddy only unscary, unfunny, and uninteresting. I expected a much better production with today's technology. It was like eating spam when you think you'll have steak. It was taking a cruise and never leaving the port. It was a let down. This movie is awful.
